Welcome to the first posting on the new Magnorailoz website.
Why the name? We have negotiated a reseller agreement with Magnorail Netherlands and they have okayed our incorporating their name in to our branding .
BUT and we must stress, as per the disclaimer on our home page - Please note MagnorailOz is a reseller of Magnorail products and has no corporate ties with Magnorail Netherlands and as such has no legal liability for products purchased through the Magnorail.com web site nor acts on their behalf in any legal sense other than as an approved reseller. Any defective products purchased through magnorailoz.com.au come under Australian consumer laws and grievances will be actioned within those laws.
So we are selling the system in Australia because we believe there are so many layouts here that can benefit from the Magnorail Magic!
Hopefully this blog will get some chatter going to help newbies and oldies as they get to grips with the Magnorail technology and its opportunities so please feel free to comment or upload photos or links of your layout and I will include them in the curated Magnorail Playlist on my channel.

Clyde has been involved for many years with the Magnorail system having initially built his own layout "Echo Lakes" featuring two concepts using the Magnorail System. In 2019 he rebirthed his layout as Crater Lake featuring four Magnorail circuits plus an Ho3 train line around the perimeter which is now the Magnorail flagship for exhibitions.
Clyde is the voluntary curator of Magnorail videos on YouTube so if you have a video featuring your Magnorail system and it is not there, send us a link and we will include it in the playlist of over 250 Magnorail videos.

I have built at the fetters /hobby shed at South Windsor a track layout with the help of other men a layout that I suddenly felt should include a magnorail for small cars. Measuring the area up this morning we would need three metres of magnorail track which includes turning areas for our small vehicles. I believe the apparatus is very noisy and I have also been told that you have a quieter alternative which I would prefer purchasing. Therefore would you please let me know the initial cost of the magnorail based on the quieter alternative and the additional track to make up to three metres. Would I need an additional motor to run the magnorail ? I look forward to your early response and I have included photos on my greatly unfinished layout. Many thanks, Keith Clarke 0408 610 821 .

Hi Keith

Drop me a line at [email protected] with the photos and i will asses your needs but you are looking at a slider starer set and two extensions to achieve your length or just 1 extension and you will be 15cm short. Basically my magnorail set is no different it is just the installation that creates a quieter operation. If you check out my videos on youtube channel KLATCHCO56 you will see I use insulation foam, with the channel set into the board https://youtu.be/GQZn-78dKcs. I also insulate the drive mechanism with felt to reduce noise. Colin Konig from my club Grampian model Railroaders added a small circuit to his period layout and it just adds that extra bit of magic https://youtu.be/A2B_BpTxoCA
